Women’s Employment Network (WEN) is a Kansas City-area nonprofit with the mission to help women raise their self-esteem and achieve economic independence through sustained employment. The only organization of its kind in the area, WEN has provided job-search training and resources, individualized coaching and professional case management to more than 4,500 women since its founding in 1986.

Each year at WEN’s annual luncheon, local companies, sponsors, supporters, and nearly 1,100 attendees come together to honor women who have gone through WEN’s program and made positive changes in their lives.

BCWM was a patron sponsor for the 2011 luncheon on April 11, hosting 10 fabulous ladies at our table, including BCWM employees Laura Carley and Pat Burns.

Thank you also to the friends of BCWM who attended this luncheon, which raised over $275,000 for WEN.
